Ayii Anargyri is set amongst the perfect tranquil and glorious scenery
of Cyprus hills planted with orange groves and vineyards.
The hotel itself was once a monastery and there is a small chapel in the forecourt
dedicated to the saints Cosmas and Damianos.
It is a simple yet comfortable family run hotel with 25 twin rooms all with private
bathrooms. Set in orange groves at the rear of the hotel is the large swimming pool.
The water in this region is famous for its therapeutic properties, the local springs
bubble to the surface, but in your bathroom you have the choice of either ordinary water,
or this natural spa water said to be helpful for ailments such as rheumatism, arthritis
and spinal complaints.
The hotel is only a ten minute walk to the hamlet of Miliou, which then leads to the
most scenic routes for ramblers and bird watchers. Actually the valley of Miliou is one of
the few nesting sites in Cyprus for the nightingale.
Under the cool vine shaded terrace, enjoy a drink at the open air bar and try the the
traditional Cypriot cuisine prepared by a Cypriot mama, the Patronella. Combine this with
the peaceful setting and homely atmosphere of the hotel and we are sure that all visitors
will feel totally revitalised by the end of their stay.
Ayii Anargyri is a great base from which to explore this timeless part of Cyprus.
