Travellers and sailors are welcome to join our family's voyage through the Caribbean. During the last several months we completed the West Indies leg of our voyage visiting 12 different islands from Martinique to Grenada enjoying great trade wind sailing and awesome snorkelling. Saw lots of sea turtles, rays, octopus even a friendly shark or two on the pristine reefs in the Grenadines. Though some of our best times have been on board after the evening cockpit bbq pulling out guitars and havining islanders joining in on the congas for jamming and singalongs. In the months ahead we will be continuing on to South and Central America to the islands of LOS TESTIGOS, ISLA MARGARITA, TORTUGA (and the actual coast of Venezuela itself), LOS ROQUES, AVES ISLANDS, BONAIRE, CURACAO and ARUBA before continuing onto Colombia, Panama and Central America. So far friends and travellers have been stopping in all along our route but we still have plenty of room for anyone who'd like to join our
adventure. No previous sailing experience is necessary and since we will be picking up and dropping off friends all along the route, you can stay as long or short as you like. I'm looking to crew, for short or an extended period of time, anywhere , extremely comfortable below and above blue water , done a lot of commercial diving in South Africa and also do have lot of respect for Neptune especially after few wipe outs in Cape Town surfing waters .
I have reasonable sailing boat experience 10 weeks Ocean crossing from Cape Town To Salvador - Brazil ( 5000 nautical miles) , In my time there, I've done hull cleaning, both dry-dock and in wetsuit, shimmied up masts, done fiberglass repair, painting, diesel engine maintenance and repair ,line fishing /spear fishing, propel replacement, day and night watches, log book , navigation , handyman and a lot of experience in food logistics for long boat trips (cooking, buying, menu organization, etc) . You'll find me to be creative, handy and highly motivated; I'm high-energy “especially under water” and can focus on tasks with great intensity. I'm also a very good cook (and dishwasher).
As a 39 y/o male with a University degree in Oceanography, I am both good company and conversation. I take criticism well, and respond quickly and responsibly to my duties. It's a point of pride for me to have a job done well without being asked any more than once. A letter of recommendation from my former employer can be provided; they will attest to my personable and highly competent nature. I'm also able to hole up and take (cramped) space and time alone. I do pack light, and will have only a hiking backpack.
As far as expenses go, I would rather do things on as tight a budget as possible, preferring to trade my time for your money.

Gentle Wind, a 1983 61-foot Cheoy Lee Long Range Cruiser (power vessel, NOT sail!) is leaving Friday from Honolulu bound for Papeete, French Polynesia. Two of our crew will be departing the boat in Papeete, and we'll need at least one replacement as we continue on our way across the south Pacific to Australia. Crew pays their own way to the boat. Relax Catamaran Cruises
We have an opening position here in Limassol, CYPRUS
Candidates must speak English, not older than 35, if possible to have experience on tourist yachts or industry. Duration of job will be for 6-7 months starting in May 2005. Job will be 7 days per week and 3 night cruises. On summer usually we make more night cruises but this is extra from salary. The day cruises are from 10:30 to 17:00 and the night from 19:00 to aprox. 22:30. The cruises are on steady plan following every day the same track.Sea conditionsin Limassol is force3-4. Crew have to clean, repair and paint the yachts as needed. The skipper and crew from one yacht might transfer to the other dependes on the needs.
More of 6 different food is free. Water and up to 3 soft drinks is free per day. Alcohol IS PROHIBITED.

I am the skipper of Knot Again, a C&C 35 MK III. I am always in search of new crew to join our group. We race non-spinnaker and are a great boat for sailors to crew on to have fun and improve their skills even further. We have had a good deal of success racing including NJYRC champion, RYC champion on many occasions, 1st in fleet in the ALIR and many trophy placements in various regattas including the C&C Worlds. We have a Be safe, Have fun, and then Go fast mentality and the only yelling is to be heard over the wind.
