Camping sites in Cyprus  tent.gif (1249 bytes)

Welcome campers.

If you are thinking of Cyprus as a destination to try the joys of camping or caravanning, or have a mobile home you wish to bring here (not an easy endeavour) here is the info you will need. Follow the links at the bottom of the page to find some nifty activities while you are here, and please let us have any feedback on the facilities you find , so we can keep these pages up to date. If you want to import a camper van or caravan and car, there is now a ferry service directly from the UK, Ireland, Italy and some other European destinations which can be seen at cruisecyprus.

There were 7 licensed camping sites in Cyprus, however camping is neither lucrative nor encouraged (very short sighted we think) and with all at around 6 euros a day per person and 2 or 3 euros per accommodation. i.e. 3 people and a caravan is 15 per day  i.e. 6 people and a tent is around 20 per day!
( Current euro exchange rate can be seen here)

Larnaca

Forest beach camping. .On the Larnaca / Dhekelia road on the coast right next to the beach, a lovely spot.   Open April to October.   Last report in 2005 saw it closed down. No doubt to try for planning permission for yet another hotel.
They are still closed ! What a shame.
Larnaca did boast the wonderful beach side forest park campsite.

No, it doesn't exist anymore, the area is now ' built up'.  RIP

This site did lie west of the town and was open from April to October. 50 metres from the beach.
