Useful Cycling Tips

1. Driving in Cyprus is on the left hand side of the road.
2. Cycling is not allowed on highways/motorways
3. Always use your helmet.
4. Check your bicycle before any ride.
5. Avoid using the front brake when going downhill.
6. Always carry with you water, bandages ,antiseptic and an energy bar (or even chocolate).
7. Avoid cycling off track and always prefer the tracks which seem to be more used.
8. In Cyprus country people are very friendly, therefore do not hesitate to ask them for help, assistance or information whenever needed.
9. A compass is always useful.
10. Study carefully the instructions and maps before going on a ride.
11. During summertime the danger of fire is high in forestry areas, therefore be extremely careful. Without the forest, mountain biking seems to be like a bike without a saddle.
12. Give way to pedestrians.
13. Take your litter home with you.
